A decommissioned cruise liner, the Duke of Lancaster, has been docked in Flintshire, north Wales, since 1979. Once a bar, it is now being transformed into a gallery by local art collective DuDug. They have encouraged graffiti artists to ‘decorate’ the outside.

Council of Monkeys by French artist GOIN

DuDug say this piece sends a direct message to the local council, spelling out their opinion. Council of Monkeys is by far the boldest statement on the ship to date, says the collective, not only because of its impressive 121m² expanse, but because of its clear message.

(Sadly, the message is universal.)
